The NFN holds monthly meetings from September until May. At each meeting, guest speakers present information on various aspects of natural history. Usually, meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at the Vittoria Community Centre, main meeting room, with doors opening at 7:15 p.m., and the program beginning at 7:30 p.m. However, currently, all in-person events are on hold, as the Vittoria Community Centre is closed for indoor events due to the COVID-19 situation. Please continue to monitor the web site for any updates on field events.
Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
Note: As a result of the COVID-19 situation, meetings and events are on hold until further notice. Please monitor the web site for updates.
From time to time, it may be necessary to cancel a general membership meeting or field event. Here is our event cancellation policy.
