03:00 PM

This event is on hold, pending an assessment of the COVID-19 situation as the date draws closer. Any decision to proceed with the event will be confirmed no later than two weeks out. Please monitor the NFN web site for updates.

NCC Ecologist Liv Monck-Whipp will take us on a crisp walk in the north tract of Backus Woods to learn how to identify trees in winter, and to talk about tree ecology. Meet at the Backus Woods parking lot on the south side of Highway 24 (#218). Dress for the season. Questions? Contact Len at 519-718-4216.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Vittoria Community Centre. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.

Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
