Event: Norfolk Sand Plain Restoration Tour (Field Event)–ON HOLD

This event is on hold, pending an assessment of the COVID-19 situation as the date draws closer. A final decision will be confirmed no later than two weeks out. Please monitor the NFN web site for updates.

Between 7 and 9 p.m., Mary Gartshore and Peter Carson will take participants to several restoration sites which represent various habitats and stages of maturity. Planning, execution and results will be discussed and illustrated.

Insect repellant, long pants, cameras, binoculars and appropriate weather wear are suggested. Meet at the dam parking lot just west of St. Williams Nursery on the north side of Highway 24 to car pool. Questions? Contact Mary or Peter at 519-586-3985.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Norfolk Room. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.

Field Events

Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
