In the early days of the Norfolk Field Naturalists, an early June Forestry Farm picnic was a tradition, and it’s one that we would like to re-establish. Attendees had a great time last year and we would like to see it grow. Let’s meet at the Interpretive Centre (885 Hwy. 24 at Forestry Farm Road) at 11:00 a.m., go for a tour and then head back to the Centre for a picnic lunch. Please bring your own lunch, lawn chairs and insect repellent. This event is open to members and non-members alike. Questions? Contact Len at 519-428-6796. Note: On occasion, circumstances beyond our control may require cancellation of a planned event. All event cancellations will be posted on the NFN web site.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at the Simcoe Seniors Centre, Pond Street, in Simcoe. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.
Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
