In its early days, the Norfolk Field Naturalists held an early June Forestry Farm picnic. This is a tradition we would like to re-establish. Let’s meet at the Interpretive Centre (885 Hwy. 24 at Forestry Farm Road) at 11:00 a.m., go for a tour and then head back to the Centre for a picnic lunch. Please bring your own lunch, lawn chairs and insect repellant. Questions? Contact Len at 519-428-6796. Note: On occasion, circumstances beyond our control may require cancellation of a planned event. All event cancellations will be posted on the NFN web site.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Norfolk Room. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.

Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
