Event: Christmas Bird Count: Woodhouse: Special Event–ON HOLD

08:00 AM
05:00 PM

This event is on hold, pending an assessment of the COVID-19 situation as the date draws closer. Any decision to proceed with the event will be confirmed no later than two weeks out. Please monitor the NFN web site for updates.

Join one of the local Christmas Bird Counts and spend the day in the field identifying and counting all of the birds you see or hear. Data collected during these annual counts provides vital information on the distribution of winter bird populations.

The Woodhouse (Norfolk County) Christmas Bird Count will be managed by Adam Timpf. If interested in participating, contact Adam at 519-429-4147 or adam.timpf@gmail.com

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Vittoria Community Centre. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.

Field Events

Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
