Event: “Canada Jays” — Speaker Event

Dan Strickland is a former Chief Park Naturalist who served at Algonquin Provincial Park where Canada Jays are common. He will tell all about this clever corvid which breeds in every province and territory. The Canada Jay is extremely friendly, and it is one of the hardiest Canadian birds.

Location: Norfolk Room, Simcoe Recreation Centre, 182 South Drive, Simcoe.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Norfolk Room. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.

Field Events

Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
