Local naturalist, Mary Gartshore, will lead us on a leisurely hike in Backus Woods, which has over 80 breeding species, including 11 species at risk.
We’ll look and listen for Cerulean Warbler, Hooded Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler, Wood Thrush, Veery, Louisiana Waterthrush, Great–crested Flycatcher, Rose–breasted Grosbeak and more. With Mary as our hike leader, we know we are going to get lots of additional natural history lore!
Don’t forget your binoculars! Meet at the Backus Woods parking lot off 3rd Concession Road. Contact Len at 519-428-6796.
