Heather Walters, a writer for the Port Dover Maple Leaf, will tell us about her fascinating recent trip to Peru. She will tell us about her adventures getting to Machu Picchu, an Incan Citadel built in the 15th century. It is set high in the Andes Mountains above the Urubamba River valley.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at the Simcoe Seniors Centre, Pond Street, in Simcoe. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.
Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
