Having grown up in Northern Burlington on a
farm on Mt Nemo, Sarah becomes involved in the
fight to prevent the expansion of Nelson Aggregate’s
quarry there. She does this by touring the Niagara
Escarpment from top to bottom and helping to inform
and energize people on the importance of protecting
this unique green space.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at the Simcoe Seniors Centre, Pond Street, in Simcoe. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.
Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
