Join Mary Gartshore and Peter Carson on this restored NCC property under a full moon. We’ll listen for whip-poor-wills and coyotes. Mary and Peter will demonstrate their bat detector, which hooks up to an i-Phone and can identify our different species of bats.
Bring a head lamp or flashlight, and mosquito repellent and/or bug jacket. The property is located on County Road #60, about 300 metres west of the West 1/4 Line. Contact Mary or Peter at 519-586-3985.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Norfolk Room. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.
Field Events
Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
